Rahul Gandhi had on Monday at his rally in Gandhinagar, Gujarat dubbed the GST "Gabbar Singh Tax".

On Tuesday he took his formulation to Twitter, and then added some.

He first wrote Congress GST = Good and Simple Tax.

Then, Modiji GST = Gabbar Singh Tax.

And then added his coup de grace: Gabbar Singh Tax = Yeh Kamai Mujhe de de.

GST and demonetisation are being blamed for the current state of the Indian economy.

And with Gujarat and Himachal going to the polls soon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP have been trying to put some distance between them and the tax.

Modi has of late been saying GST was first the Congress's idea.

The Congress of course has been trying to do the opposite -- lay the blame squarely at the BJP's door.
