Rahul beats Tharoor, is now most-followed Congress leader on Twitter
Follow UsThe official Twitter handle of the Congress president Rahul Gandhi has gained a total follower count of 6.77 million as compared to MP Shashi Tharoor who has about 6.7 million followers on Twitter.
The Gandhi scion has become very active on Twitter of late taking on the ruling BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a range of issues.
Rahul Gandhi's tweets on various issues plaguing the country including unemployment, Doklam stand-off, Rafale deal have got good traction from the people and he gained substantial followers on Twitter after he became very active on the microblogging site.
When Tharoor came to know about the twitter battle and he has been overtaken by the Congress president, he expressed happiness for Rahul, a report said.
Previously, Rahul Gandhi official Twitter account was 'OfficeofRG' now he changed it to 'Rahul Gandhi' on 17th of March.
