Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaches Surat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat's Surat on Saturday.

Here he will also hand over certificates to beneficiaries of various official schemes.

The Prime Minister will visit Chennai, Puducherry and Gujarat in the next two days.

Modi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,000 crore in Daman city on February 24 and flag off the marathon in Surat the next day.

"On February 24, Modi will lay the foundation stones for projects including a water treatment plant, a gas pipeline, an electric sub-station, a municipal market, a footbridge among others," SS Yadav, Adviser to Administrator of

Daman, Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, said today.

The PM will also launch a helicopter service between Daman and Diu, and an Air Odisha flight service connecting Ahmedabad with Diu, he said.
