Censor board chief Prasoon Joshi will be provided with zed plus security when he visits Jaipur for the Jaipur Literature Festival.

"Required protection will be provided to Joshi from the state government, we are committed to maintain law and order in the state," home minister Gulab Chand Kataria told a daily.

On Friday, the Rajput Karni Sena had warned Joshi against visiting Jaipur. They had threatened that he would be welcomed with  "shoes and chappals" if he dares to come to the state. The Karni Sena is miffed with Joshi for clearing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat

At the lit fest, the CBFC chief is scheduled to speak at a session titled, 'Main Aur Woh: Conversations With Myself', on January 28.

"It seems Bollywood personalities are taking us very lightly," said Ajeet Singh Mamdoli, leader of Karni Sena was quoted as saying by the daily.

"Words have no impact on people like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prasoon Joshi. Karni Sena members will welcome them with shoes and chappals wherever we meet them. We have only shown the 'trailer' to Bhansali, if need be, we will show him the complete film," said Mamdoli.

Terming Joshi as an accomplice in the entire episode, Mamdoli alleged that the CBFC chief had played a key role in clearing the movie for release. "He conspired with film producers and did not call other historians for the screening.

We have made it clear that he will not be allowed to attend JLF," he said.

The lit fest will begin in Jaipur from January 25th. The Karni Sena threat led to the police beefing up its security for the event to prevent any untoward incident.
