Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the opening plenary session of the India-ASEAN commemorative summit in New Delhi today.

The summit will see leaders from 10 ASEAN countries in attendance who will discuss counter-terrorism, security, trade and connectivity.

Leaders from nine ASEAN countries reached New Delhi yesterday barring the Indonesian President who is expected to arrive today.

This year's summit also marks the 25 years of Indo-ASEAN ties.

The ASEAN leaders, along with PM Modi, will also attend the Republic Day parade tomorrow.

A banquet will be hosted by the President later today followed by a Leader's Retreat.

PM Modi will also be holding bilateral meetings with nine ASEAN leaders on the sidelines of the summit.

The Prime Minister held separate bilateral meetings with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, and Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte yesterday.
