PM Modi's visit to the Himalayan country was decided during Oli's visit to India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day state visit to Nepal from May 11. Modi's Nepali counterpart KP Sharma Oli visited India recently to mend ties that had taken a hit due to the economic blockade along the Nepal-India border in 2015-16.

PM Modi's visit to the Himalayan country was decided during Oli's visit to India.

The Prime Minister is likely to visit Janakpur which he couldn't during his visit in 2014. PM Modi may also pay the holy Hindu pilgrimage site Muktinath a visit. 

According to reports, PM Modi will Modi be received with a civic reception.

Meanwhile, on Sunday Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Sigh Puri met Lal Babu Raut, the Chief Minister of Province no 2 in Janakpur. The officials discussed Modi's Nepal visit.
