Reddy was sworn in as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium in Vijayawada earlier today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated newly-appointed Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy. 

"Congratulations to @ysjagan on taking oath as Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister. I assure full cooperation from the Centre. We will work together to take Andhra Pradesh to new heights," PM Modi tweeted.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi also gave his best wishes to Reddy.

"Congratulations to Jagan Reddyji on being sworn in as the CM of Andhra Pradesh. My best wishes to him, his new team of ministers and to all the people of the state," Gandhi tweeted.

Reddy was sworn in as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium in Vijayawada earlier today.

Around 30,000 people attended the ceremony at the IGMC Stadium and the Krishna district administration had made elaborate security arrangements with 5,000 police personnel deployed at the venue. 

PM Modi will take oath for his second term today at 7pm at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
