No respite for consumers as fuel price rises for seventh consecutive day
The prices of petrol and diesel saw a further rise on Saturday morning with an increase by Rs 0.16 per litre on petrol and Rs 0.21 litre on diesel.
While the price of petrol rose to Rs 78.68 per litre in Delhi and Rs 86.09 per litre in Mumbai. Diesel scaled a new high and is available at Rs 70.42 per litre in Delhi and Rs 74.76 per litre in Mumbai.
The price of petrol had crossed the Rs 78 per litre mark in Delhi for the first time in more than two-and-half-months on Tuesday.
The fuel prices have been on a consistent rise for several days.
