Pakistan's propaganda exercise on Jadhav carries no credibility: India

As Pakistan released a new video of Kulbhashan Jadhav, the ministry of external affairs(MEA) said it was not surprised by the new video asserting that Pakistan was simply continuing to put out "coerced statements" on the video.

In the recent video released by Pakistan, Jadhav said his mother was humiliated on the flight to Islamabad and that there was an Indian diplomat with her who shouted continuously at her, adding that he saw "fear in the eyes of both his mother and wife."

The MEA slammed Pakistan saying: "It is time for Pakistan to realise that such propagandistic exercises simply carry no credibility."

"The absurdity of a captive under duress certifying his own welfare while mouthing allegations of his captors clearly merits no comment," the MEA added.

"Pakistan is best advised to fulfil its international obligations, whether it pertains to consular relations or UNSC resolutions 1267 and 1373 on terrorism and to desist from continuing violations of human rights of an Indian national," the MEA said.

Pakistan had earlier released a video and photographs of Jadhav's meeting with his wife and mother. 

Jadhav's mother Avanti and wife Chetnakul had flown to Islamabad via Dubai on Christmas day to meet Jadhav.
