Pakistan denies 'forced' conversion of Sikhs to Islam
Shortly after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj reacted to reports of the forced conversion of Sikhs to Islam in Hangu, Pakistan, Islamabad denied any such incident.
Swaraj had on December 19 shared an article by the Pakistani media on her Twitter handle.
The piece had reported on the "forced" conversion of Sikhs to Islam in Hangu, Pakistan.
"We will take this up at the highest level with the Government of Pakistan," the minister had tweeted.

On Thursday, Pakistan denied any forced conversion of Sikhs to Islam in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Mohammad Faisal, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan, said it as an incident of "misinformation".
Faisal also expressed Pakistan's commitment to the freedom of religion.
