Padmaavat releases tomorrow, security beefed up

Security is being beefed up around the country ahead of the release of the movie Padmaavat. 

The movie, which has seen protests against it around the country, is scheduled for release on January 25. 

Mumbai Police have detained more than a 100 Karni Sena and other Rajput workers as a precautionary measure. Police are also keeping a watch on social media and WhatsApp groups. 

Security has also been beefed up at all movie halls which will be showing the movie. The Mumbai Police Commissioner has issued instructions to all police stations to take strict action against anybody trying to disturb law and order in the city. 

The Karni Sena meanwhile has asked its workers to protest against the movie's release wherever they might be since the police are not allowing for any planned protests across the city. 

Gurgaon and Noida meanwhile have imposed Section 144 -- which prohibits the assembly of more than four people. 

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar had said that it would be good if theatre owners chose not to screen the film but that they would be given security if they did.
