Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has asked all the opposition parties to unite against the centre to achieve "Modi-free" India.

He said, "All the opposition parties should come together if you want a Modi-free India".

He said the country was fed up with false promises made by Narendra Modi and his government.

Calling for a third Independence of the country he said, "India got its first Independence in 1947, second in 1977 (after the post-Emergency elections), and 2019 can bring a third Independence if India becomes 'Modi-mukt'".

He said on investigating Modi's government's scam may turn out to be the biggest scam ever since 1947.

He said PM Modi's foreign tours was apparently to get "flour for Pakoda".

Speaking on the Ayodhya-Babri dispute, he said, "he was in favour of building a Ram temple in Ayodhya, but it should not be used as an election issue".

Thackeray alleged that the media is under immense pressure from the government adding that the government was trying to control, media, judiciary and institutions like CBI.

He also said the media covered the death of Sridevi at the behest of the government to suppress the ongoing Nirav Modi-PNB Scam.

Thackeray was addressing a rally on the occasion of Gudi Padwa in Mumbai's Shivaji Park.
