TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee who got famous with serial 'Balika Vadhu', playing the role of a child bride who fights against odds to get her dignity and rights in a rural Indian setup, died in April 2016. On her second death anniversary Sunday, her co-stars and TV friends remembered the late actress with motivational posts.

Her best friend and TV actor Kamya Punjabi and Bigg Boss 11 finalist Vikas Gupta shared heartfelt messages on social media for Pratyusha. Missing their friend, they criticised the judicial system and the society for forgetting her so soon.

Vikas took to Twitter to write: “Today I lost a person I really liked. It’s been two years. People will forget because life moves on, we all move on. Your death taught a lot value of life. May you rest in peace.”

While Kamya shared a throwback of them together and wrote: “Two years and no trial also as yet! Don’t laugh, I am not giving up. Yes, your parents are miserable but ‘I have complete faith in our judicial system’, that’s what they say, right? To hell with that. Value your life because you have no value here. People forget and move on and you better not rest in peace.”

“Please don’t write about my friendship with her, please don’t write RIP here. If you want to do something then please don’t be blind in love, don’t give up on yourself, fight back, stop domestic violence... just stop stop stop! Nothing and nobody is worth your life! Because when you die, there are a hell lot of people who die with you! Breathe, stay alive! Life is beautiful,” she added.

Pratyusha committed suicide in her Mumbai home. It was reported that her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh found her hanging by the ceiling fan. Pratyusha’s mother pressed charges of abetment to suicide against him -- accusing him of abusing her, cheating on her and taking money from her.

On the other hand, Rahul and his family alleged that Pratyusha was depressed due to a financial crunch. Singh was arrested by the police and later released on bail. There has been no conclusion on the case as of yet.
