Delhi high court on Friday restored 20 AAP MLAs' membership setting aside Election Commission of India's recommendations to disqualify them in connection to the office of profit.

Following relief to MLAs, the Election Commission will re-hear the office of profit case, news agency ANI reports.

Earlier, the Election Commission had recommended to the President the disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs for allegedly holding office of profit.

The Election Commission while recommending their disqualification to the President had said by being parliamentary secretaries, they held office of profit and were liable to be disqualified as MLAs of the Delhi Assembly.

Following EC's recommendation, the president disqualified the MLAs.
