Three-year-old raped by minor in Haryana; fifth rape in 5 days
In yet another shocking incident, a three-year-old daughter of a labourer was allegedly raped by a 14-year-old minor neighbour on Tuesday, in Haryana's Hisar.
The incident occurred when the girl's parents had gone out to work.
The accused also threatened the girl with severe consequences if she told anyone about the incident.
It is the fifth case of rape in the last five days.
The accused has been arrested by the Police.
The incident comes at a time when the state is already under scanner for the brutal rape and murder of a 15-year-old Dalit girl.
She was abducted and raped with her private parts being mutilated.
In the wake of such rape incidents, especially against minors, being reported from different parts of Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said such incidents are unfortunate, but strict action will be taken against the culprits.
He further requested the Opposition parties to not politicise the issue.
