The Supreme Court today refused to grant interim relief to Karti Chidambaram in the INX media money laundering case.

India's top court while deliberating on the issue sought response from the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Karti Chidambaram's fresh plea seeking protection from arrest.

"We are willing to co-operate in every way and we also did so.  I am worried about my arrest." Kapil Sibal told the Supreme Court while appearing for Karti Chidambaram.

Supreme Court will hear Karti's plea on March 9th.

The CBI has meanwhile sought a 8-day custody for Karti Chidambaram at the CBI court. Karti's 5-day custody ends today.

The court allowed Karti Chidambaram to meet his father, Congress leader P Chidambaram, and mother Nalini Chidambram for 10 minutes.

During his five days of custody, Karti Chidambaram was taken to Mumbai where he was confronted by Indrani Mukerjea at the Byculla prison in connection with the case.

The court on March 1 had allowed custodial interrogation of Karti Chidambaram by the CBI for five days, saying there was need to unearth the larger conspiracy in the INX Media case and his presence would serve an important purpose.
