North Korea will shift its time zone 30 minutes earlier to align with South Korea starting May 5 "as a first practical step for national reconciliation and unity," the North's state media said Monday.

UK's Home Secretary Amber Rudd resigned on Monday. Her resignation came following pressure mounting on Theresa May's government over its treatment of the 'Windrush generation', the first large group of Caribbean migrants that arrived in the UK after the World War II. 

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that he intends to go on a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet after the Karnataka elections. 

The Gandhi's pilgrimage announcement comes days after a mid-air scare while flying to poll-bound Karnataka.

The United States is deeply concerned by Iran's "destabilising and malign activities", new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday.

Newly-appointed national security adviser(NSA) John Bolton told a US television programme that the Trump administration is not  "starry-eyed" on North Korea's commitment to give up nuclear weapons.
