The MEA spokesperson also said that since the deadly Pulwama attack, which killed 40 CRPF soldiers on February 14, international communities have stood with India in condemning Pakistan and urging the country to take action against terrorists.

India has asked Pakistan to take a "Naya action" against the terror infrastructure it has been hosting and said Pakistan escalated the situation by its strikes on Indian military installations on February 27.

Speaking at a briefing spokesperson of the ministry of external affairs Raveesh Kumar said, "If Pakistan claims to be a "Naya Pakistan with Nayi soch”, it should show "Naya action” against terrorist groups and terror infrastructure on its soil and end cross border terrorism in support of its claims."

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been saying its a "Naya Pakistan" (new Pakistan) but that is doubted by India and international community especially with its support to terrorist. The country in the past few days it has taken several members of the banned terror organisation into preventive detention.

The spokesperson said, "Pakistan will NOT be judged by the words but the action they take. Proof of action is not notification in Gazette but by dismantling terror infrastructure that is verified"

Replying to a WION question, Raveesh Kumar said, "there was never an escalation from our side, I have made it very clear, Foreign Secretary made it clear, our strikes were not a military operation but counter-terror operation against Jaish-e-Mohammed necessitated by lack of action by Pakistan on perpetrators of Pulwama attack."

The Indian envoy to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria and Pakistani envoy to India Sohail Mahmood on Saturday resumed there duties in Islamabad and Delhi which is seen as the return of normalcy between the 2 countries. They were called back after the Pulwama attack by respective countries for consultations.

On Kartarpur talks the spokesperson said India is going forward for it since it concerns the "emotions and sentiments of Indian citizens of Sikh faith" and it should not be considered "resumption of bilateral talks".

Kartarpur talks between Indian and Pakistan officials to decide the modalities of the corridor will take place on 14th March at Attari Wagah.

Raveesh Kumar also confirmed that Wing Commander Abhinandan shot down Pakistani F16. India has shared the evidence of the use of AMRAAM missile that can only be deployed on F16 with the United States and asked Washington if the use of "F16 against India is in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale."

He said Balakot strikes by India on terror camps in Pakistan were successful and achieved the "desired objective".

India had struck the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) camps on 26th February. JeM had taken the responsibility of Pulwama terror attack on 14th February, the worst on Indian security personnel in 20 years and killed more than 40 CRPF personnel.
