Navjot Singh Sidhu accepts invitation to Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony

Former cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan Prime Minister-designate Imran Khan on August 18, news agency ANI reported. 
According to reports, Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has received an official invitation for the oath ceremony and has informed the Union Home Ministry and the office of Punjab's Chief Minister about his intention to attend the ceremony in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and incoming Prime Minister of Pakistan extended a personal invite over a telephone conversation to Sidhu, ANI reported.

As per an announcement made by PTI on Friday, Indian cricket legends and Khan's "old friends" Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sunil Gavaskar have been invited to the oath-taking ceremony.

"Cricket legends from India and Kaptaan's old friends Kapil Dev, Sidhu and Sunil Gavaskar have been invited to attend oath-taking ceremony of Pakistan's PM Imran Khan," PTI Senator, Faisal Javed Khan tweeted on August 10.
