Mumbai's slum area Dharavi reports 33 new coronavirus cases; 441 new cases in Gujarat

Gujarat on Tuesday reported 49 deaths and 441 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,245

Thirty-three people tested positive for coronavirus in Mumbai's slum area in Dharavi on Tuesday with the total number of cases rising to 665. 

Maharashtra's health department said that 350 coronavirus patients have recovered and discharged today, out of which 165 patients were from Mumbai. 

"It is the highest discharge number in a single day in Maharashtra the total number of discharged patients in the state is 2,465 till today," the health department informed.

Gujarat on Tuesday reported 49 deaths and 441 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,245 with the death toll rising to 368.

Authorities in Delhi said two more zones were de-contained today taking the number of containment zones in the national capital to 88 with no new zones added today.

Tamil Nadu today reported 508 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of taking the number of cases to 4,058. The death toll due to the virus has now risen to 33 in the state.

The Hindpiri area in Ranchi reported three more coronavirus cases as the number of COVID-19 cases shot up to 122 in Jharkhand.
