Mumbai's Dharavi reports 84 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Tamil Nadu government said today that 385 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state today with five fatalities.

The total number of cases in the state has risen to 10,108 with the death toll climbing to 71 in Tamil Nadu.

The state government today ordered sales at TASMAC (liquor) shops with the token system. It said only 500 tokens will be issued per day with all those who come to buy liquor to wear face masks and follow social distancing norms.  

In Mumbai's slum area in Dharavi, 84 new coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours with the number of cases rising to 1,145. No new deaths were recorded today with 53 people having succumbed due to the virus in the area.

Uttarakhand health department said that number of coronavirus cases had reached 82 with 30 active cases. The Punjab government reported 13 more COVID-19 cases today with the number of cases rising to 1,932 with 1,595 active cases in the state. The number of fatalties in the state has surged to 32.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 30 new coronavirus cases were reported with the total number of cases in the Union Territory rising to 1,013, including 489 active cases. 513 people have recovered from the virus. J&K has recorded 11 deaths due to COVID-19.
