Mumbai today reported 1,438 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases in Maharashtra's capital to 35,273.

There were 38 deaths reported due to the virus with the total death toll rising to 1,135.

India's national capital recorded the highest single day spike in coronavirus cases with 1,024 people being infected with the virus, taking the total number of cases in the city to 16,281.

The death toll in Delhi stood at 316 after 13 deaths were reported, the health services department said.

In Rajasthan, 251 coronavirus cases were reported today with the total number of cases rising to 8,067.

Meanwhile, Telangana health department said that 66 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours with the number of cases rising to 1908. Sixty-seven people have died due to the virus in the state.
