Mumbai police detain Kamala Mills owner Ramesh Govani

The Mumbai Police has detained Ramesh Govani, owner of Kamala Mills Compound.

The police had earlier recorded the statements of the mill owner when he was questioned for violating the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practice (MRTP) Act norms. 

The police have already arrested the owners of Mojo Bistro, Yug Pathak and Yug Tuli and the three owners of "1 Above" pub Kripesh Sanghavi, Jigar Sanghavi and Abhijeet Mankar.

A detailed report issued by authorities in Mumbai has stated that the cause of the Kamala Mills fire which left dead 15 dead and many injured was due to the "fire started from the flying embers from the hookah being illegally served" in the Mojo's Bistro restaurant which was partially covered and which is unauthorised.
