A monkey got tangled in a telephone line on a tree outside Udyog Bhawan on Wednesday.

However, the animal was rescued by a wildlife conservation NGO, after they received a call from a passerby.

In a statement, it stated that the personnel from the fire department aided its rescue team in the operation. Police were also pressed into service to control the crowd that gathered there.

"We are grateful to the fire department and the police for their support in carrying out this rescue," Kartick Satyanarayan, CEO of Wildlife SOS, said in the statement.

The monkey is currently under treatment and observation.

Upon recovery, it will be released back into its natural habitat.
