The Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Saturday said that a strict action will be taken against the Max Hospital after a child was found alive after the hospital declared dead on Friday.

The license of the hospital can also be cancelled if required, he said.

Jain said that he ordered an inquiry into the matter when he came to know about the negligence of the hospital.

''If the hospital does not function properly, we will cancel the license of the hospital,'' he said.

A show cause notice has been served to the hospital on November 22 for not treating the poor patients.

The inquiry report will come on Monday.

In a very unfortunate incident, Max hospital Shalimar Bagh in Delhi had declared one of the twins dead while the baby was still alive.

The baby was handed over to the parents in a plastic bag.

The parents of the child said they were about to bury the child when they found out that it was alive.

They immediately rushed to a nearby nursing home where the doctors confirmed that one of the babies was alive.

The baby is still in a critical condition.
