Watch: Massive fire in Delhi's Malviya Nagar; Air Force presses Mi-17 helicopter into action

After 12 hours of a massive fire that broke out in a rubber factory in Malviya Nagar, Delhi the Indian Air Force launched a Mi-17 helicopter attached with a Bambi bucket to douse the fire.

The helicopter dispatched from Palam Air Force station is continuing its effort to douse the fire by refilling its Bambi bucket from the nearby Yamuna reservoir.

A massive fire broke out on Tuesday in a godown of a rubber factory in Malviya Nagar.

Immediately after the fire, 40 fire trucks were sent to the spot but failed in extinguishing the fire.

According to reports that the fire has been termed as the highest category blaze.

\Media reports also say that the fire might have caused by rubber material loaded in a truck parked near the godown. The truck caught fire and spread quickly because of the strong winds.

The nearby area and building including a school and a gym have been safely evacuated.

One firefighter is also reportedly injured.

No any other casualty has been reported yet.
