Mamata government denies permission for Yogi Adityanath rally in West Bengal

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal's North Dinajpur on Sunday has been denied permission by the Trinamool government in the state.

The permission for Yogi Adityanath's rally was denied without any prior notice, his office said. 

According to reports, the Trinamool Congress-led state government denied permission for Adityanath's chopper to land. 

"This is because of Yogi Adityanath's popularity that Mamata Banerjee has denied permission to his chopper for landing in West Bengal," Mritunjay Kumar, Information Advisor to Uttar Pradesh chief minister, told news agency ANI. 

In January, The Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government had denied permission to Amit Shah's chopper to land in Malda district.

BJP president Amit Shah had skipped his Jhargram rally a couple of days ago after the state administration denied permission for landing his chopper.
