Congress president Rahul Gandhi today hit out at that the UPA had negotiated the deal for "526 crores per plane" but the Modi government paid 1,670 crores.

This is not the first time the Congress president has taken a swipe at the Modi government over the Rafale deal. He had earlier taken a dig at defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman over the issue and had asked her to "come clean".

Rahul Gandhi in his tweet alleged that the Modi government's negotiations after the NDA took up the deal led to a loss of 40,000 crore.

The Congress president then cryptically noted: RM's response? We paid "our" price. Who cares about "their" price?
