Phulpur bypoll: After 31st round of counting, Samajwadi Party's Nagendra Pratap Singh Patel leading by 57,148 with 3,37,683 votes, BJP's Kaushlendra Singh Patel second with 2,80,535 votes after 31st round of counting.

In Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency, Samajwadi Party's Nagendra Pratap Singh has opened a huge lead of over 20,000 votes.
SP's Praveen Kumar Nishad has opened a big lead in the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha bypolls. The SP candidate is leading over his BJP rival with a margin of 10,598 having bagged 1,19,427 votes.
BJP's Upendra Dutt Shukla has won 1,08,829 votes so far after eighth round of counting.

Latest reports say Samajwadi Party's Pravin Nishad is leading by 3,000 votes in Gorakhpur against his BJP rival Upendra Dutt Shukla.
The Gorakhpur polls echoed in Lok Sabha today with the Opposition hitting out against the Government on the alleged media gag.
In a surprise twist, the SP has taken a lead in CM Yogi Adityanath BJP bastion in Gorakhpur. SP candidate Pravin Nishad is leading by 1,500 votes against BJP's Upendra Dutt Shukla.
In Phulpur, SP is leading by over 7,000 votes.

According to reports, Samajwadi Party candidate Nagendra Pratap Singh is leading by 2,000 votes in Phulpur.
As counting progresses in Phulpur, Samajwadi Party has opened a slender lead over the BJP.
SP's Nagendra Pratap Singh is leading by 1,058 votes with 22,460 votes followed closely by BJP's Kaushlendra Singh Patel who has won 21,402 votes so far.
Latest reports say BJP's Upendra Dutt Shukla is leading with 6,500 votes against his nearest SP rival Pravin Nishad in Gorakhpur. The results of Gorakhpur is especially significant given the fact that SP-BSP combined together to take on BJP setting the stage for the rise of the much-touted Third Front in Indian politics which is believed to take on Modi's BJP in Lok Sabha polls in 2019.

Samajwadi Party's(SP) Nagendra Singh Patel is leading by 1399 votes against BJP's Kaushlendra Singh Patel in Phulpur.
The results are expected to be declared by afternoon, an Election Commission (EC) official said. Ten nominees were in the fray from Gorakhpur, while 22 candidates contested from Phulpur.
According to the EC, there are 19.61 lakh voters in the Phulpur Parliamentary constituency, while the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat has 19.49 lakh voters.
