India has been on lockdown due to coronavirus since March 25 after India's Prime Minister Modi in a televised speech to the nation announced the lockdown on March 24, the lockdown was further extended till May 17 as the virus continued to spread.

During his meeting with chief ministers on Monday, several state CMs had urged the Indian prime minister to be careful while taking off the lockdown measures with many states still under the coronavirus wave. 

The Indian prime minister during his video conference with state chief ministers had said that measures needed to be more focused now with special care to be taken so that the virus does not enter villages in India.
