Suspected LeT terrorist arrested at Delhi airport

In a joint operation, the special cell of Delhi Police and Gujarat ATS arrested a suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) terrorist Bilal Ahmed Kawa at Delhi airport for alleged involvement in the terror attack on Red Fort in the year 2000, police said.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism squad informed the Delhi Police today that one Bilal Ahmed Kawa, who had been declared a proclaimed offender in the case, was travelling from Srinagar to Delhi

The terrorist was handed over to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police. Questioning of the suspected terrorist is underway.  

He was involved in the suicide attack on Red Fort in Old Delhi.

Three people, including two Army jawans, were killed in the December 22, 2000, Red Fort attack.
