RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will be shifted to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences today.

A day before the former Bihar chief minister was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences after the hospital authorities gave him a clean chit for his good health.

Lalu Yadav, however, claimed that the medical report given by AIIMS was because of some conspiracy planted by the BJP.

AIIMS in its statement had said that Lalu's condition has improved significantly and as per advise of the medical board constituted for his treatment, he is being referred back to Ranchi Medical College.

In the letter to the AIIMS Director, Lalu Yadav said that he should not be discharged from the hospital until the time he is fully cured of all the ailments.

Some individuals also misbehaved with the hospital staff protesting against Lalu Yadav's discharge.

Lalu Yadav was himself seen shouting at police officials in New Delhi Railway Station.

Following the protests, AIIMS authorities filed a complaint with the Delhi Police.

Lalu Prasad was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on March 29 where a medical team comprising six doctors from the departments of surgery, cardiology, nephrology, and neurology assisted him.

He was earlier admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi on March 17 following complaints of uneasiness while he was lodged at the Birsa Munda Jail where he is serving a jail term since December 23, 2017, in connection with the fodder scam.

The former Chief Minister has been convicted in four fodder scam cases since 2013 -- the latest being the Dumka treasury case in which a special CBI court sentenced him to 14 years in jail.
