Former Indian naval officer, Kulbhushan Jadhav, who faces espionage charges and has been sentenced to death by Pakistan, will be meeting his mother and his wife later today

The meeting is likely to take place at Pakistan's foreign office in Islamabad after visas were issued to Jadhav's family.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) had previously revealed that the meeting will take place for about 30 minutes to an hour.

Jadhav's family received 'three-day' visas on Wednesday.

Jadhav's wife and mother are expected to reach Islamabad about 11 am, with the meeting likely to take place between 1 pm and 3 pm.

According to media reports, Pakistan accepted India's plea after rejecting over 30 requests.

A military court in Pakistan had sentenced Kulbhushan Jadhav to death on April 10 this year.

Jadhav faces alleged charges of espionage, terrorist and sabotage activities.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) intervened and halted Jadhav's execution in May this year.

The case currently rests with the world court for further action.
