Kartarpur talks on track: Pakistan delegation to visit India on March 14

A week after New Delhi confirmed Kartapur talks are on, Pakistan has said it will send a delegation to India on March 14 to discuss the draft agreement for setting up the corridor.

Pakistan's foreign ministry in a release said, "Pakistan Delegation will visit New Delhi on 14 March 2019, followed by the return visit of the Indian delegation to Islamabad on 28 March 2019, to discuss the draft Agreement on Kartarpur Corridor. "

Speaking to WION, top Indian government sources last week said, "It concerns the sentiments of a community..we welcome Pakistani delegation for the talks".

India has already shared the crossing point for the corridor but Pakistan has suggested an alternate crossing point.

Pakistani foreign ministry also that Pakistan's High Commissioner to India  Sohail Mahmood will return to New Delhi, "after completion of consultations in Islamabad." Both India and Pakistan had called back there envoys for consultations in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack on 14th February. 

Last year in November, India and Pakistan approved the building of Kartarpur Corridor so that pilgrims can easily visit the Holy Gurudwara, where the founder of Sikhism Guru Nanak lived for 18 years. 

This year marks the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
