Indigo announced that few asymptomatic passengers who had travelled on its flights tested positive for coronavirus.

Amid rising coronavirus cases, Karnataka on Thursday suspended arrivals of flights, trains, and vehicles from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, IndiGo announced that few asymptomatic passengers who had travelled on its flights tested positive for coronavirus.

"The operating crew has been home quarantined for 14 days and we are in the process of notifying other passengers as per the government guidelines, to ensure safety of our passengers and staff," IndiGo said.

Punjab on Thursday reported 19 new coronavirus cases with the total number of cases rising to 2,158. 

Mumbai's slum area Dharavi reported 36 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases to 1,675. The death toll stand at due to the virus in the area now stands at 61.

Tamil Nadu today reported 827 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours with the number of cases rising to 19,372, state health minister C. Vijayabaskar said.

In Assam, 25 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the state taking the total number of cases to 856 with 762 active cases, the state health department said.
