Karnataka: BJP 'attacking' the constitution says Rahul Gandhi

Congress president Rahul Gandhi slammed the BJP government for "attacking" the constitution while he was addressing a rally in Karnataka on Saturday.

As part of the fourth leg of his campaign tour in Karnataka, the Gandhi scion visited Chamundheshwari temple in Mysuru.

Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally after his temple visit during which he accused the BJP of snatching away people's money through note ban and GST,  adding that "there is new fashion now, they (BJP) are attacking the constitution."
  
The news agency, PTI further quoted Rahul Gandhi saying that "we will not allow the BJP to change the Constitution. How much ever BJP forces its way to change the Constitution, we will make sure that the Congress will protect the work of Ambedkarji."

During the day Rahul Gandhi also held a roadshow and inaugurated the Indira Canteen in Kollegala of Chamarajnagar district. 

Earlier he visited the northern, coastal and Malnad regions of the state. Rahul Gandhi is currently on a two-day visit to Mandya, Mysuru and Chamarajnagar district.

Ahead of the election in the 224-member assembly in Karnataka, the state has witnessed frequent visits by national leaders, from both the Congress and the BJP. While the ruling Congress is trying to retain power in Karnataka, the BJP is eyeing to seize the southern state from it.
