J&K: Security forces foil infiltration attempt, gun down two terrorists in Kupwara

A Pakistani terrorist was killed today in another encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector.
Security forces gunned down two terrorists and foiled an infiltration attempt at Keran sector of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, news agency ANI reported adding that an operation is underway.
Meanwhile, in another encounter between security forces and terrorists in Akhnoor sector, a Pakistani militant was killed today afternoon. According to reports, arms and ammunition have been recovered by security forces.
The area has been cordoned off; search and destroy operation is still in progress, Defence PRO told media today.

On Sunday, a group of terrorists attacked a police party in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara. According to reports, the police gunned down one terrorist.

Police retaliated when terrorists mounted an attack on a check-post at Handwara bypass, triggering a gunfight. The deceased terrorist was identified as Ishtiyaaq from Pakistan, affiliated to terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed.
