Two terrorists were gunned down on Thursday in an encounter that broke out in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday evening. The encounter concluded today morning.

The troops of 179 battalion CRPF, Special Operation Group (SOG) Sopore, 22 RR, CRPF Range Quick Action Team Baramulla were carrying out the encounter.

The encounter took place at Baratkala-Gund Mohalla, Sopore. the area has been cordoned off by the security officials as search operation to begin.

Mobile internet services are also suspended in the area.

A joint team of forces approached a suspected house after which the hidden terrorists opened fire at the forces triggering a gunfight.

On November 23, six terrorists were gunned down in Anantnag district in an encounter between security forces and terrorists.
