Jharkhand recorded 45 per cent polling till 2 pm for 17 seats in the third phase of Assembly elections in Jharkhand. 

The polling in the 17 assembly constituencies in the state began peacefully at 0700 hrs on Thursday.

The poll-bound districts are Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Chatra, Giridih, Bokaro and Saraikela-Kharsawan.

Overall, in this phase, 309 candidates are in the fray for 17 constituencies. Out of the 17 seats, two are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and one for Schedules Tribe (ST) candidates.
