The hiding militants started firing at the security forces triggering the gunfight.

Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Police requested citizens not to venture into the encounter zone. Police have requested the people to cooperate with police till the area is completely sanitized and cleared of all the explosives materials.
