<p>Two terrorists were killed in an encounter that&nbsp;broke out between security forces and terrorists at Khur village in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district in morning hours.</p>

<p>Kashmir&nbsp;Inspector-General of Police&nbsp;Vijay Kumar confirmed the death of two terrorists.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A police official told that Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by a joint team of forces including 34 RR, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Kulgam Police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in wee hours of Today.</p>

<p>He said soon after trapping the militants, they were asked to surrender, adding that they, however, opened fire, which was retaliated, thus triggering the&nbsp;encounter.</p>

<p>In 2018, the security forces have gunned down as many as 200 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 30 were neutralised in October alone.&nbsp;</p>
