Jammu and Kashmir: One terrorist killed in encounter in Budgam district

A terrorist was killed in an encounter on Friday which took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district, police said.

The encounter broke out in the early morning after a cordon and search operation was launched by security forces in Kralpora Checkpora area.

During the search operation, the hiding terrorists fired on the search party of the forces and it was retaliated.

The identification of the terrorist is yet unknown.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter.

The spokesman said with the efforts of police and security forces, it was a clean operation and no collateral damage took place during the exchange of fire.
