Jammu and Kashmir: Pulwama attack key conspirator killed in Anantnag encounter

Two terrorists were killed on Tuesday morning in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. An army soldier was also killed.

The terrorists have been identified as Sajjad Maqbool Bhat and Tauseef, members of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed. Both the terrorists were involved in the Pulwama attack.

Sajad Bhat was the key conspirator in the February 14 Pulwama attack that left over 40 CRPF jawans dead.

Bhat owned the car which was used in the Pulwama attack. 

On February 14, a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist had rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus carrying the CRPF jawans.

The encounter started after the area was cordoned on a specific input. This is the second encounter in less than 24 hours in the area.
