Jammu and Kashmir: Encounter between security forces and terrorists underway in Shopian

An encounter broke out on Saturday between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, ANI reported.

The encounter broke out after the terrorists fired upon the forces who retaliated.

According to local newspaper's report, the security officials were conducting door to door search during which terrorists hiding in a house opened fire at them.

Security forces have cordoned off the area.
