INX Media case: Karti Chidambaram sent to one-day CBI custody
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram on Wednesday was sent to one-day CBI custody by Delhi's Patiala House Court.
Karti was arrested in connection with the INX Media money laundering case.
The CBI sought his custodial interrogation for 15 days claiming that he was not cooperating in the probe.
Karti is named in a case which relates to Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval granted in 2007 for receipt of funds by INX Media.
Earlier Indrani Mukherjea in a statement to CBI informed that Karti Chidambaram asked for 1 Million dollars for FIPB clearance, and on this ground, CBI sought Karti's custody of Karti.

Reacting to the allegations of conspiracy against Chidambaram and his family, Union Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad said the CBI will explain all details and they don't wish to interfere in the matter.
"Law must take its course. CBI will explain all details we don't wish to interfere. I'll only make one observation, when such issues are raised, what is important is the nature of evidence available against the offender must speak for itself, " Prasad said.
In their statement, the CBI said that it also seized vouchers of Rs 10 lakh which were allegedly paid for the services.
