The son of senior Congress leader and former finance minister P Chidambaram was sent to 5-day judicial custody by a Delhi sessions court on Thursday.

As per CBI, Karti helped INX Media get FDI clearance from Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) when his father was the finance minister in the UPA government.

He allegedly received Rs 3.5 crore for helping it get the clearance when it was run by Peter and Indrani.

Karti, who was arrested from Chennai airport, will again be produced before the court again on March 6.
