After Delhi Court extended his Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody, Karti Chidambaram filed a caveat in Supreme Court on Saturday.

In the caveat, Karti appealed to the court not to give any order without hearing him if Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenges Delhi court's interim order in the case on Friday.

A Delhi court extended CBI custody of Karti Chidambaram, son of former finance minister P Chidambaram, by three days in the INX Media corruption case.

Karti's custody has now been extended till March 12.

The Patiala House Court also allowed the CBI application seeking permission to confront Karti Chidambaram with his chartered accountant Bhaskaraman in Tihar jail.

The court will now hear Karti's bail plea on March 15 in the CBI's case against him. The Delhi High Court granted interim relief to Karti until March 20 in the event of an arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) ) in the INX Media money laundering case on Friday. The court granted the relief till next date of hearing which is March 20.

Karti Chidambaram's lawyer also said that they have rejected CBI's request for conducting a polygraph test on Karti.

He said "There cannot be a compulsion with regard to this test. We have given a written rejection saying that we are not accepting the polygraph test".

The CBI has alleged that Karti Chidambaram got kickbacks in return for foreign investment clearance for INX Media when his father was the finance minister.

Bhaskararaman was arrested from a five-star hotel in Delhi on February 16.

The ED claimed that Bhaskararaman, a qualified CA, had been assisting Karti in managing his "ill-gotten wealth" in India and abroad.
