In an unusual incident, the Indian Army lodged an FIR (First Information Report) with the Jammu Police in the stone pelting incident on Sunjuwan Military Station on Friday.

An incident of stone pelting was reported from Sunjuwan Military Station, which came under terrorist attack on February 10, by some civilians.

The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.   

"The stone pelting was done on post No 12 which is adjacent to the area which was the suspected entry point of the terrorists during recent attack," said sources 

"Then Army lodged an FIR in the nearest police station and the police acted very promptly and handled  the situation effectively."

The police carried out further checks in the area from where the pelting was done.

"Even some suspects involved in the stone pelting were identified by police and presently police are keeping vigil in the area," said a police officer.
