As India is all set to depart for South Africa today, skipper Virat Kohli believes the team is on the right track.

Kohli said he is happy for the boys that they will be able to walk around without being hassled.

"I'm really happy for the boys that they will be able to walk around without being hassled. I think we need to connect with normal life. We are on the right track, all we need to do is not focus on it too much. The cricket will take of care of itself automatically."

India signed 2017 off with a spectacular 3-0 T20I whitewash against Sri Lanka.

The team brought to an end a dominant calendar year where they won 37 international matches, second only to Australia's record of 38 such wins 14 years ago.

Starting January 5, India will play a series of three Tests, six ODIs and 3 T20Is against South Africa.

The first test will be beginning in Cape Town, the second Test is scheduled to be played in Centurion from January 13. The last match of the series will be played at Johannesburg from January 24.

Thereafter, the two teams will be engaged in a six-match One-day International and three-game T20 International series in February.
