In a major breakthrough, police have apprehended a Jama'at-ud-Da'wah(JuD)-linked terrorist Mohamad Amir also known as Abu Hamas.

In a video accessed by WION, Aamir openly confessed he was trained by JuD handlers who he said "radicalised jobless youth".

India's intelligence agencies say Aamir,18, belongs to Karachi and his father is a retired policeman.

Aamir is said to be a "master of small arms fire". Intelligence agencies believe Aamir is part of "22 anti-India terrorist squads" belonging to Jamat's front organization the Lashkar-e-Taiba(LeT).

Hamas reportedly underwent a fifteen-day training with Jamat at Nuriya Bad, near Karachi where fifteen young Pakistani men belonging to various parts of the country were trained.

Hamas was interrogated by Indian police and intelligence authorities at an undisclosed location.

JuD chief Hafiz Saeed who was released from house arrest in Pakistan two weeks ago had said he would gather people across Pakistan for the "cause of Kashmir" and try to help Kashmiris get their "destination of freedom".

"I was detained for 10 months only to stop my voice for Kashmir," Saeed said soon after walking free, adding," I fight for the cause of Kashmiris. I will gather the people from across the country for the cause of Kashmir and we will try to help Kashmiris get their destination of freedom."

India has accused Hafiz Saeed of being the mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai terror attack in which over 160 people were killed.

Saeed was declared a global terrorist by the US and the UN after the Mumbai attack.
